From the July Newsletter
“Wild Readers” are people with a passion for reading who talk about the books they read. “Deep Readers” read to become familiar with the best writing in a field of interest. Deep Readers collect and save the best of what they discover. A deep reader needs to know the vocabulary, what the experts are writing, be able to recognize compelling ideas, strong evidence, and credible quotes. They collect electronic files, newspaper and magazine articles and written reports – all of which can be consulted and add depth to many types of writing.
